X-rays help us look inside your child’s teeth for problems invisible to the naked eye. We can often diagnose cavities much more quickly with an X-ray. They are also helpful for finding any gum or teeth problems that we need to address. However, x-ray machines can be very bulky and intimidate little kids, which can make it difficult to get the x-ray.
At Michigan City Dental, we use the Carestream 8100, which makes the task of getting the x-ray much easier and quicker. The Carestream takes x-rays from outside the mouth by moving around the patient’s head, allowing us to see cavities on our littlest patients with ease!
